Chabad of Venice (“we,” “us,” “our”) respects your privacy. This policy describes what information we collect through our website, forms, email lists, and text-message program, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
When you fill out a form on our site — joining a mailing list, signing up for text updates, registering for a program, or making a donation — we collect the information you provide: typically your name, email address, phone number, mailing address, and any answers you give to form questions. Donation payments are processed by Stripe; we do not store your card number.
How we use it
We use your information to run our programs and stay in touch: sending the updates you signed up for, confirming registrations and donations, issuing receipts, and keeping our community records current. We do not sell your information.
Text messaging (SMS)
If you opt in to our text updates, we will send occasional text messages (up to 4 per month) with event reminders, holiday updates, and community news. Message and data rates may apply. Reply HELP to any message for help, or STOP to unsubscribe at any time.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing with subcontractors in support services, such as customer service, is permitted. All other use-case categories exclude text-messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with, or obtained by, any third parties.
Sharing
We share information only with the service providers who help us operate — payment processing (Stripe), our community database (Salesforce), and our email and text delivery providers — and only as needed to provide those services. We may also disclose information when required by law.
Security & retention
We take reasonable measures to protect your information and retain it only as long as needed for the purposes above and for our legitimate record-keeping as a nonprofit organization.
Children
Our website and forms are intended for adults. Program registrations that include children's information (such as Hebrew School or camp) are submitted by a parent or guardian.
Your choices
You can unsubscribe from emails via the link in any email, stop text messages by replying STOP, or contact us to review, update, or delete your information.
